Personally I was going to try a Bushnell trophy cam. I like the small package & from tests on trailcampro.com it seems to take decent pics & have battery life that is on par with the best.....might not have the range others have @ 45ft. but it seems to fit the bill for me perfectly. I've had...

Squirt a dab of penetrating oil on it, like PB blaster & let it soak for a while & try again later. Personally I'd avoid the torch.....
