Re: MEMBERS WHO SHOOT SWHACKERS
I found the same bent ferrule on one of my Swhackers, 125 grain, last year after a shot, although the blades did deploy on mine. I got a pass through as usual, so I don't know whether it bent on impact with the deer or the ground afterwards. Either way the Swhackers have been great for me, taking 15...

Re: MOCK SCRAPES & RUBS
Interesting that you ask. I just made a mock scrape last week and have had a significant amount of activity with it. The scrape was made in an area about 25 yards from my tree stand and had a limb hanging above it at about 4 1/2 to 5 ft. I made it using a leaf rake, 3ft diameter?, and put a few drop...

Re: Lighted nocks
Thanks for the tutorial Swamp. Mine came in the mail yesterday and I like the operation of them. I'll be installing them on a few arrows during the next night or two.

Re: Meat Grinder Recommendations
Thanks for the information fellas. Did some research and found out that Cabelas has a 5 year warranty on the commercial style models, so I will probably go with one of them.

Meat Grinder Recommendations
Ok guys, I'm tired of paying $70 per deer to have them processed. The processor does a fantastic job, I have absolutely no complaints. However, we eat though 5 deer a year in my family and give two more away to property owners so the cost adds up considerably over the course of the season. I'm going...

Odd Doe Kill
Saturday morning I went and sat in a blind that neither me, or my buddy, had been in yet this year. Small 8 point came out first and he got a pass. Then two mature does caught my movement inside the blind and walked off. They were then followed up a short time later by another 8 pointer that had a h...

X3 on the 125's. Short recoveries and easy to change out the blades on them. Shwackers is all I will be using this year.

Re: Firebolt Rear Nock Removal???
Screw a field tip into the nock. Heat gently with lighter or torch and pull out the nock. Usually only takes a few seconds worth of heat. Clean the inside of the shaft, sand the end of the shaft to square it up, and push in the lumenock.

Pondering a Bear Kill
I've got a 250lb male and a bit smaller female with cub hanging around one of my stands on my good friends farm. I've never shot a bear nor have I ever eaten any bear meat. Can you guys give me a little insight into what bear meat most resembles, beef, pork etc... Is it best to slow cook it all or c...
