I have been doing it this way for years....I hang mine by the rear legs, then cut into from the front of the deers legs as if it were standing....then just above the knee joint 90 degrees to the bone I cut to the bone and turn blade to run in up the thigh bone to hip joint and then cutting out....th...

I have left mine all day while hunting, if I come out for lunch I de cock it when back at truck....

my new exocet from 2008 has had a string on it since I put it together, no harm at all ....

he is as old as he is ....

I used one arrow for my 1st 4 deer I got with my exocet, until it got bent ....

I use the block of styro from walmart for 15.00 bucks in the red/white/blue plastic covering when I do my BH shooting....but I only shoot BH's to make sure they go where they are to go....

my 1st deer I got when I started archery hunting in 1980 was a nice big 187lb dressed 9 pt buck, that I shot 45 minutes after dropping some logs outta my tree stand....cause I couldn't wait any longer and could not move due to the pain holding for as long as I did already, so bombs away ....

those shootings took place 20 miles from my home....

insert weight also has a lot to do with how good a arrow will fly....I used a straight fletch using blazers and had my slick tricks flying to the same spot my target tips were going out to 50 yards with 550gr 2117 alum arrows with 160gr brass inserts....I now have my arrows down to 500gr with 110gr ...

from the time of arrow hitting deer, i have all the meat boned off deer and in cold fridge and eating the tenderloins 3.5 hours after death....I have gotten very good results with tender venison doing it this way....I get all meat boned and in plastic shopping bags loosely closed on a towel on botto...
