I always look up your posts first RJ - and this one certainly did not disappoint! Great 'photo journal' of the hunt - you captured fall at its finest! Excellent work on that buck!! I am now convinced on ordering a few of the buck bombs myself. Did you get them from a dealer in Ontario? I was going t...

I hang my pack, but have all necessities for calling etc. in my cago pockets. My bow is always on my lap. Wouldn't want to have to reach for it and spook something close by. I can hook it, but only if necessary. It's game time all the time in the stand...

Well, the packs arrived from Gagnon's today, and I am totally impressed. The packs look VERY well constructed, are very lightweight considering the size and fit very well. There is a place for everything. Can't wait to get it out into the field, but after looking them over pretty throughly, Badlands...

Hey Michael, thanks for the review. I just ordered the last two from Gagnon's. Great customer service there. Also takes the guess work out of my birthday present!!! I'm a little disappointed in that they're in the Max-1 pattern :( and not Realtree AP (like the rest of my gear) but I guess a little m...

Funny you mention that Greener. I spoke with John yesterday, and they have them. He sounded like a good guy. Shipping was $16.00 to Ottawa.

Badlands also has an unconditional warranty, which speaks volumes to the quality of the packs and their service.

Badlands Monster Fanny Pack

Just wanted to throw this out there for some input. Each year seems to get warmer and warmer from the bow hunt in October to the rifle hunt in November, and I'm forever taking the pack / jacket off, stuffing it in there and putting it back on, and the heat on the back is brutal, then your back is da...

The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) is offering a 'free' Thermacell and a long range turkey call (can remember the name of it)with all new subscriptions - just got my notice in the mail the other day. Might be a good way to support a good organization AND get some products that will...

I'm sold on Slicks. Worth every penny! I think I will have to try the new Razors and see how the fly. If you find something that works, go with it.
Good shot placement and a good broadhead = a good hunt and meat in the freezer.

Can't wait for fall!

I can't say enough about these mounts (and the service - Todd is awesome)!! I have ordered a couple last year and have 3 more on request. Once people see how well the bow is balanced, and that the quiver is out of the way - plus it makes it easier to carry with a sling, and raise into the tree stand...

I didn't know whether to comment or not as I'm still deeply upset by the clip aired on the news tonight. That 'apology' did not go nearly far enough. As we bring our brothers come and the take that final drive down the highway of heroes, I cannot help but think of those families, and the suffering t...
