Ranging feature
I have one as well and like it very much. The reticle can be used to range a deer as well. The YouTube video below will give you an idea how it works. There is no audio but it is pretty self explanatory. I picked up the Caldwell life size cardboard target that you see in the video to have on hand. I...

Re: Matrix Off Season Storage
I used to remove the DB pads and unstrung my Exocet. Now I just clean it and hang it on a hook during the off season.
Good luck on the gun opener tomorrow.

Re: Special on Rage Extreme heads
They better not be or Amazon will get them back along with a good griping. They had a warning on their Facebook page a couple of years ago. https://www.facebook.com/ragebroadheads/posts/643015262387102?fref=nf It makes you wonder about the Broadhead failures you hear about. How many of those failur...

Re: Montana Decoys, and rainy day plans
Make a tail that blows in the wind for your decoy, or one you can move via fishing line, deer pick up on movement very well but do not have the best vision. I have a Renzo decoy, similar to yours but smaller I believe Try a feather, it moves more with less wind. I like that idea a lot! That'...

I have never shot the Grim Reapers. My go to Broadhead is the NAP Spitfire. They make a big hole going in and coming out.

Re: Changing where I aim on a deer.
I could be dead wrong on this but isn't there a big nerve cluster somewhere in both shoulders? Maybe your hitting it or disrupting it when the bolt slams into the opposite shoulder with that much force. ..again i could be dead wrong. Could be the massive trama that shot causes. You are right. It is...

Re: Budget Scent Controll
Budget scent control for me is to go pick milkweed pods and let dry in a paper bag. Once they are dry strip off the seeds and put the fluff in a container (I use an old breath mint container). Release the fluff periodically when hunting so see where your scent cone is going and hunt accordingly. The...

Re: Carry options
I have been hand carrying mine but with all the other stuff I have to carry I decided to use a Sherpa Cart kit made for my Summit Viper Climbing Tree Stand. This way I can get my tree stand and my other equipment in the woods without killing myself. Getting too old to be a pack horse. Generally I a...

Re: Carry options
The one thing that I don't own is a sling. My crossbow, shotgun, and muzzle loader are always carried in my hands.
More than one deer has regretted that decision and come home with me because my weapon was in my hands and not on my shoulder.

The only opinion that matters is the conservation departments. You should call them and find out how they make the measurement.
