you wondered about battery life. I have a ded dot on my vert bow. Its been on the bow for about 5 years now ORIGINAL battery. My site is turned on all the time I hunt. I use position 1 or2 in the woods. I had a extra battery, it ended up in the computer.

Let it go..

tonight at 530pm I had my vert bow on full draw. The red dot site on the deers boiler room. The range was 10 yards. The shoot was not broad side, but slightly quartering away. Its near leg forward, its head busy eating leaves. The perfect shot but then............Bambi, had a lucky day, I let it go!...

I was up in my tree stand a few years back. I heard a LOUD grunt noise 50 yards from me. Hever saw what it was, but made me think my bow was not enough.........................

I have a pair of wool socks (i think) with Thinsulate inside. (from fleet farm) I use them with down filled "booties" over the socks... all inside of Sorels felt boots..Froze my feet years ago wile ice skating as a kid, wish I hand't done that..............

I believe a 30MM on a xbow would be fine,, I have a 30 on my xbow (cant use it yet)....I also have a 42MM on my vertbow, they both work fine, both single dots

I have a piece of bycycle tire on my ladder stand, between it and the tree .....a piece of rubber hose slit would work.. not 100% perfect.. try it good luck................

Thats a sweet stock.... ahhhh 270 WSM... I have one of those BAD BOYS..... had mine for 2 years now...and 4 deer.. real nice gun...I would like to see you shooting it..............
