Re: G5 Deadmeat Expandables performance?
I buy my arrows in dozen lots. I take each arrow and write a number, in pen, on the cock vane - 1 through 12. Then I shoot them all five times each at 25 yards (bow in a shooting vice) and chart exactly where they hit. The four of that group that consistently landed closest together (from the chart...

Re: G5 Deadmeat Expandables performance?
I locate my cock vanes with a Ram Tester ( just bought a Firenock PAPS) and if one doesn't group with the rest, I try diff vanes as the cock vane. I think that when you get one that won't group with the rest no matter what you do, there's something wrong with the shaft so I toss them. Thanks Boo, I...

Re: G5 Deadmeat Expandables performance?
I would echo what Keith and Dan said you have something else going on if the RamCat's don't fly true. I see no difference out to 40yds versus my FPs. My son shot a nice 10pt this past weekend (vintage 335 micro) and hit next to last rib on a qrt away shot took out a lung sliced the heart and cut th...

Re: G5 Deadmeat Expandables performance?
I think if it's made by G5, it's good. Question: why are you not still shooting Spitfires? They remain the broadhead I always go back to. SW Lost a big buck, thought I had a double lug shot, watched lumenok take a sharp turn upon exit, I'm thinking it deflected off front side rib missing off side l...

G5 Deadmeat Expandables performance?
Just picked up a pack of these to try, haven't sighted in yet. Currently shooting 100gr Ramcats but not satisfied with accuracy, just not as accurate as Spitfires I used to shoot. Anyone have good experience with these?

Re: Trigger Tech recall turn-around
I've not received mine yet, I see where some are having trouble with the new triggers not cocking correctly some of the time. Anyone having this problem?longbow joe wrote:3 weeks
They said Trigger Tech was aware of the problem and working on a fix, hopefully that's what's taking longer to replace.

Re: Hawke XB30 Crossbow Scope
Mine has 30mm tube, very good in low light. Has 5 degrees of brightness settings, ok for my old eyes. I will try to find wildcatters review, I'm always upgrading something. Thanks Keith

Re: Hawke XB30 Crossbow Scope
Good scope, don't use crappy mounts that come with it. Get Hawke competition mount rings. The ones you see for sale new are probably NOS, I don't think they make them anymore. I would buy another in a heartbeat.
