Re: matrix 380 with factory 19" arrows
My Tact Zone scope is the same way. I wish it offered 1/4 MOA adjustments and wish that were at 40 yards, but it's 1/2 MOA at 20 yards. Frankly, I don't even think it is 1/2 MOA at 20. I can shoot an inch right at 30, click once moving left, then I'll be an inch left, causing a two inch change at 30...

Re: personal bucket list and being careful
Sorry for your loss indeed. I'd love to do a brown bear hunt on Kodiak Island. For me, that would be the ultimate hunt with a bow and arrow. I'd like to take my recurve and my crossbow with me and see if I had the nerves to get within recurve distance or if I'd "settle" for a shot with the...

Re: Disappointing season so far in Missouri
Right now in the early season i hunt early mornin's n stop about 10 am. Then if'en i get one its work fast to get it into the freezer while the sun is broilin me :( I take the same approach, but I have coyotes moving through around 9:00 - 9:15 am so in my last hour I'm mostly expecting action on th...

Re: Problem seating arrow against string
Make sure the two vanes not in the rail are smoothly flowing to the outside of the metal scope mount block. Occasionally, the vanes on my practice bolts get bent and curled. This causes one of them to track inside of the scope mount/retention spring/trigger assembly block and eventually jam, stoppin...

Re: Scentlok ozone thingy?
I hunt the wind but I don't rely on it. The deer in the hills where I hunt move every which way you can imagine in any given wind direction. Deer will inevitably be downwind of me sometime. I don't use expensive electronic gadgets for scent control but I do shower before my hunts, wear clothes washe...

Yes, with the rays of light shining down, it's as if the hand of God is reaching out and a voice says, "Here is your buck. Go forth and respect nature's bounty and beauty."

Re: Problem seating arrow against string
Did you cock the bow first , then try to insert arrow? Hilarious. That was good. If this post is legit ... Your anti-dry fire should freely move up and down. With the bow uncocked (the string not pulled back but instead perpendicular to the rail at the most forward position), push the anti-dry fire...

Re: TT Trigger issues
Did you get the Trigger Tech Bulldog specific model trigger that some people mentioned awhile back, or is it the same trigger that gets installed in the Matrix line generally?

Re: Broadhead Suggestions
I've shot stock Quills with 150 grain Magnus 4 blade Stingers out of a Micro 335 and they were dead on windage wise, and an inch off elevation wise compared to the field tips at 30 yards. I tried the same setup with my Bulldog and the stock Diablo bolts. Shooting 368 fps, the setup was also dead on ...

Re: Cost of one shot
I would say most bolts are found after a shot. Using an illuminated nock helps in that regard. You can use the same bolt for multiple deer, but you can also bust a bolt on a single deer. It depends on the quality of the carbon and what actually occurs during the shot. A fair number of people use cro...

Re: BD400 and 20" Arrows
Did they say why the blind is so far from the bait barrel? I was under the impression that bear guides set bowhunters up as close as possible, aiming for a 20 yard shot near the barrel so you can more easily judge size.
