Re: Cold Weather Hunting

Actually , a real game changer for me was to shelve the fancy expensive camo thinsulate boots and go with my good old fashion sorel glaciers.
That and isolate your feet from the metal on the stand and it will buy you lots of time

Re: Breaking nocks

Its carbon tranfering from the arrow to the nock. Some of my arrows that have been shots lots of times have developed a wear line which would transfer to the nock if the nock material was able to show it. Check the rail for a rough spot, thats happening WAY too fast But also those do look pretty bea...

Re: Limb numbers

What's going on here? Guy asked a valid question....I've been on this site about 5 years or so and I can't give him a honest answer to that question. Some of these replies are what push people away from an otherwise great forum. Just saying. You're right, my apologies to the OP. I meant it as a jok...

Re: Thoughts on 308 Short

I appreciate all your thoughts. My micro is a gen 2, so no modifications there. Actually, the issue for me isn't cocking—I find the 335 Micro reasonable and the M330 I could shoot all day. I'm more interested in the bow being compact, and I wonder how noticeable the size difference is between the 3...

Re: new matrix string seems shorter??

Ill qualify that with, most strings readily available without ordering something specific will typically amount to 5 fps loss.
SEW is absolutly correct, its very possible, but I wouldnt say its common to loose 30 fps

So you guys think the 308 short would be adequate for Black bear and whitetails up to 30 yards? I'm very interested in this bow also. Thanks for any info.

Re: Thoughts on 308 Short

I'd shoulder the 308 and the 335 side by side. If the 308 feels better then its possibly worth picking one up.

I went the route Gene suggested and turned my 335(G1) into a 315. And I wouldnt put it back.

Re: Very strange!! Arrow test.

One thing worthy of mention is the physical weakness possibly created by the 6" long aluminim insert. The shaft will flex on launch and on impact. It will want to flex close to the center. This could cause a breakage or a spine loss where the insert ends. Conversely, the carbon insert allows s...

Re: Very strange!! Arrow test.

Interesting, I wonder if it has something the do with the more relaxed riser design the Bulldog uses over the Matrix.. Ive always though something launched slowly and or softly compared to a more harsh launch will have a possitive effect on ever aspect of arrow flight. My theory is based on matrix v...
