spare limbs 380/405

Hi guys, some random questions. Do the 380 and 405 use the same limbs. From the perspective of a non US customer who might want to order some spare limbs to cover breakdowns , is this possible and what do they cost? I can't seem to find the information anywhere.

Multiple mounting options on 380

Hi guys if I wanted to get the following onto a 380 is it worthwhile and/or doable. I don't know much about the mounting/clamping options out there.

Scope with HMA

Hunting when raining

Hi Guys,
How do Excalibur strings and the bows themselves handle being directly rained on- is it okay to use and fire them in heavy rainfall?

Re: cocking matrixes

well I am not the same shape as that guy but actually a powerlifter by sport :) always cocked exomags without much effort, plenty of horses left over I feel. More concerned about whether it has any sort of ill effect on the bow/string/limbs to pull the string by hand? basically if I can do it bareha...

cocking matrixes

Hi guys, might seem a stupid question but how are the bows cocked? do you just grab the string and pull or are one these rope devices required at all times to do it?

Re: micro paronoia

is 2% projected or actual? The number increases as time goes by naturally. My opinion as a non north American is when I get a thread of 85% voting against me buying a micro in my remote location versus 1 guy for it, there is definetly a problem. Its a good way to look at the quality without having t...

Re: Any interest in an Excalibur 'Macro'

How do you define "more reliable"?? With over 3,000 shots and counting, and numerous kills to date, all with ZERO issues whatsoever, I'd consider my 380 to be Quite " Reliable ". Reliable as in something you would recommend to own in a foreign country with limited support...

Re: Any interest in an Excalibur 'Macro'

I tend to agree. Regards the other gents replies I probably came off the wrong way, as being someone chasing speed at all costs. All my point is for those with a 380 or 405, (who are obviously chasing speed in an excal package), are there any who would like that speed to be in a more reliable packag...

Any interest in an Excalibur 'Macro'

I am out on a limb with this one but always wondered if other fans out there who would like the idea of a full size speed bow from Excalibur? Not that it would ever happen, but I wonder how a 375, 405 or even 425 with full sized or outsized limbs would sell if buyers knew they could have the old exc...

Re: 335 vs 380 vs 405 limb and engineering stresses

Embarrassingly I have just flipflopped on the 335 plan again, been reading too many reports and re-reading the advice given. I'll take my indecision offline until I can work out which way I am going. Feel free to continue the discussion of course. Thanks all :)

Re: 335 vs 380 vs 405 limb and engineering stresses

Regards the exomax I am probably part of a very small minority that wished Excalibur had continued developing full sized limb crossbows. People who want the biggest and fastest of anything are generally happy to have something that is literally bigger/more uncomfortable to handle. Just like guys who...

Re: 335 vs 380 vs 405 limb and engineering stresses

Thanks gents, a lot of great and honest replies on the durability of these things, pros and cons. Also recieved some positive info from the Aussie shooters here by PM regards our importer in that he is able to provide frontline support for things such as limbs and strings etc with decent turnaround ...

Re: 335 vs 380 vs 405 limb and engineering stresses

I just might do! actually a really helpful question would be what is a list of possible problems to be found, particularly with the heavier bows, which I could maybe order spares for? I could afford new limbs or get another set. Do any screws or mechanical parts fail? Ever any irreparable issues that...
