It usually goes from winter to summer in about three or four days, but this year we have had some very nice weather. It is just starting to warm up,normally April is pretty warm.I dont know if that had anyt...

What a GREAT link!!!! The Tower Theater was my mom's Sat. afternoon baby sitter. It cost a quarter to get in,and a dime for a soda pop. Most of the time it was a double feature and had a cartoon in the middle. What a great memory of some great times.

Re: Turkey callin'
Dont look down your noses at the Primos "Spring Hen" or any of the push button calls. They do a remarkable job and are easy for a novice(or old hand) to learn to use.You can use them one handed and they make a mount type for your gun or bow. These may not be classy or sophisticated but sure...

Re: Where should I hit a turkey?
The old saying that I have heard is,"Hit 'em high, watch "em die,Hit 'em low, watch 'em go.The tom that I got this fall I shot about mid wing ht.He went 10-12 feet. You dont want them to go far as they dont leave much in the way of blood trail, and the feathers are super camo in the woods.

Re: Scope mount problems.
I worked in a gun shop here in Ft. Worth in the mid seventies, and have shot a LOT since then. I have mounted many, many scopes on every thing from air rifles to magnum pistols to large calibur rifles and some shotguns. The trick that my old boss used to avoid any problems with screws getting stuck or ...

Re: Hey Y'all
Welcome. Where abouts in Texas are you from? I'm in the DFW area. I hope that crossbows really catch on and take off this next year. I know that there were a lot of people that didnt know that they were legal during regular archery season this year.

Re: How many did something like this?
Sometime around 1976(when everyone in the USA had to have a muzzleloader to commemorate the bi-centenial) a friend decided that he had to have a blackpowder gun. He shot it for a while and then became bored and started to make some small bombs(pipe and cannon fuse) and set about to see what all he c...
