Re: OT: Saying Goodbye...

Matt my heart is with you and your family. Your right a dog's unfiltered love is in direct reflection to the love you give them. Once they adopt you into their life, your family no matter what. Charish the love and time you all shared. I miss my late dog's companionship, but I remember all the good ...

Re: Excalibur Date of Manufacture by Serial #

I did not know that Excalibur had started appling a serial number to their bows. In the past Excalibur would not put serial numbers on their bows for a few reasons. One reason was that the Canadian government tried to require "ALL" crossbows to be registered along with guns. BillT fought t...

Re: Happy Canada Day !

Wow, that Ontario pool water looks to be ice-free! Summer must have come a little early this year! ;) So what is “Canada Day”, exactly? Same as 4th of July for you guys down south. Otherwise known as my dad's 88th birthday, it is celebrated all across Canada with parties and fireworks. My birthday ...

Re: Shoot-thru netting . Ill advised?

I shoot spitfire heads (not newer heads, have had them for a while). I tested them through the screens because I could not see the arrow flying true after going through the screen. Out to 40 yards I had zero change in impact. That really surprised me. I do recommend that if you plan on shooting thro...

Re: new website

One more thing, when I'm in the board index it no longer shows who's posted last. Again, I prefer the old format. Also, I'm sometimes having trouble finding the 'return to crossbow hunting' option after the last post of a thread. Just mentioning it for awareness, not to complain. Thanks. Paul Paul,...

Re: new website

Just noticed another thing. No more stats are shown for the person posting on a thread.....no join date, no number of posts....I'm really missing our old style forum. I guess I'm a creature of habit. what is awesome is all the immoges at the top of the page. :D oh yeah, in the board index pa...

Re: Staying warm while hunting (sitting)

I have always found that the trick is to not let your feet get sweaty when getting to the stand. I use normal hunting boots (600grams) to walk in with and on cold days I use boot blankets (1000 grams). Mine has the zipper up the back and I just step into them when I get there. On real cold days, I w...

Re: Converting a C2 crank for left hand use

Thanks for thinking of me and the many other people that can not use the crank right handed. But seems I have been side lined as there seems to be a problem with my C spine and T spine so when I bend and put a little effort in to say cranking the cranker I have now with left hand it does not last l...

Re: Hello Everyone on the Updated Forum site!

I see you guys have discovered the new forum setup! :D There will be some tweaking yet, we will be adding a new header and a few other things. It does operate a little differently, all the features like "new posts" , "unread posts" etc. are all in the "quick links" ico...

WOW! I was sure glad to read through that and discover that it had a happy ending.... except for the snake of course! We have the Massassauga Rattler up here. I've come across a couple but they're fairly shy. I once pulled off the road to ummm.... return a rented coffee. Cover was sparse so...

Re: Broadheads for moose

I use slick tricks with good luck but if your on the ground lots of times you shoot high and the exit hole is the same as the entrance . The whole chest has to fill before the blood will come out in a lot of cases . I have talked with many different hunters about archery moose hunting. The common s...

As for a new target, the targets used at Boofest were well received. I do not remember the name, but others should be able to chime in.
