Children are like a financial investment; ignore your investments and you'll likely get a poor return, but if you pay lots of attention, your investment will make you rich in your old age. I thought that they's be small forever. I thought that I'd be running ragged my whole life... basketball practi...

That's the comment of a man who be married for a very long time.

Treat your wife like a thoroughbred and she'll never turn into an old nag.

Check these out

www.hornheavenwhitetails.com/gallery1.htm These folks sell breeders. I'd imagine that most get sold to fenced hunting areas. I hunted "Wild Boar" in a fenced area once, and vowed never to hunt like that again. Just a personal thing. I like fair chase. I'm more of a meat hunter, but I do en...

I bought the same bow. I shot it for the first time today. It was a blast.
I'm not sure what your ailments are, but I go to physical therapy as well... for my back.

I've found that by sitting in a chair to cock the bow, there's far less back strain.

Have fun!

Cheap target

I finally got to shoot my xbow today. Thanks once again to dw for hooking me up. It would've been another hard year, watching everyone else head out to the woods to bow hunt, while I watched hunting shows on tv (just can't find good recipies for video venison  ) I also wanted to thank all of y...

Thanks everyone, I had gone to Al and Bob's sporting goods this morning. I know that it sounds like a hick shop, but it's actually supposed to be THE place to go in the Grand Rapids MI area. This afternoon, I had a physical therapy appointment and I stopped by a small sports shop near there, and the...

Thanks for swallowing your pride and possibly sparing someone else the same mistake.
You don't have a monopoly on stupidity. I think we've all been stupid a time or two.
If you never did anything stupid, you never did anything at all.
Hope your sight returns.

Bolts

I assembled my Exocet yesterday. The only thing that I need are the bolts. I was told that this xbow was accurate with 420 grain bolts. I figured that I could run down to my local Excalibur dealer and get what I needed. I asked for Firebolts and the guy looked at me like I was speaking another langu...

Easy

These are the easy deer to shoot. With head gear like that they can't even get into the woods to hide... just keep bouncing off the outer perimeter... forced to stand out in the open

That's a nice buck, I don't care where you're from!

I've been a bow hunter for 30 years. there's no sicker feeling than when you hit a deer and can't recover it. It's happened to me twice. I've had deer that have left 3 or 4 pin pricks of blood in a 50 yard trail. I've been so intent on the ground in front of me that I've walked within yards of my de...

Decoys

I'm wondering if any of you use deer decoys, and if so, buck decoy or doe? I've had mixed results. I always take care in regard to leaving my scent behind. I also put a bit of deer urine under the decoy. As often as I've had curious bucks come into the set up, I've had them spook. I'd be interested ...

I've suffered with cold hands on more occasions than I can count... UNTIL I bought a "muff". As mentioned in a previous post, there are a few small set backs, but nothing to write about.
Now if I could find one for my feet
