Re: r.e.d.s

My S5's are three years old, have easily over 2000 shots and the face of the rubber, while a little roughed up, is nowhere near failing and I can only remember rotating them (maybe) twice.

I do keep my string "minimally" 1/4" off of them at rest (and probably a little more).

Re: Crossbow hunting death in NC

Yes, more bowhunters are killed in car accidents going to their hunting sites.

So, should we ban cars?

Agree - put her up on the "trophy wall".

If you weren't a Hunter, this is what your wall might look like

Nothing like sitting in the dry. Agree - and I'm a "whimp" - love my comforts. This is "my idea" of a TREE STAND - none of those wimpy metal contraptions that they sell at the sports store  http://i760.photobucket.com/albums/xx243/galamb2/TreeStand1_zps65581aca.jpg 14 feet ...

Re: Ground Blind Usage?

I have used them off and on. I have never found a smaller (read manageable by yourself) portable that would readily accommodate the limb width on an Excalibur, which has made the few I have tried a little tough to use (they really are more suited to rifles/vertical bows. It has also been my experien...

Re: archery suppilers in canada

I have used these guys for years - shipping is reasonable, have most everything you could want and if they don't have it listed, you can give them a call and they will find it for you. http://www.archersnook.com/ Now, if you don't mind dealing with a US supplier, I get all my arrows and bolts from L...

Re: Boltcutter Broadheads

There is no reason "not" to use them, particularly if they came as part of the package. I like shooting extreme FOC bolts and these put (typically) 50 more grains out front than what most guys/gals shoots. But they weren't extreme enough for me so I swapped arrows/bolts, and in doing so mo...

Re: sky rocket

Did it "fly away" simply as a result of it deploying upon firing or did one of the blades catch the foot stirrup? I ask because I just went through a situation such as I describe with some NAP BloodRunner II's. Upon firing they deployed (no keepers in this case - hybrid type head) and beca...

Re: dissapator pads on matrix

Don't think you can use them on a Matrix.

Here's the blurb on them from Excalibur...

"Dissipator Bar
Our Dissipator Bar uses an ultra modern energy absorbing compound to tame recoil energy and noise on any Excalibur crossbow except Matrix Series crossbows. "

Re: Lucky Buck Mineral

There is two mineral products that I regularly use. The first is Deer Cane (from Evolved) - the powder - comes in a 5lb bag (now has an apple scent). The second is called Deer Crack (from Buck Expert, a Canadian Company so don't know if there is US distribution or not) - basically the same thing as ...

Re: rage crossbow broadheads

Used Rage KE 40's (2 blade) with my recurve bow when I first went to mechanicals. When I started shooting the x-bow, picked up some Rage II's (100 grain). They group great and go in the same hole as the field tip - BUT, despite the positive reviews of many (and the millions spent on marketing) I was...
