New Excal Videos

Does anyone know if Bill and Kath are going to make more Excal hunting videos? Hopefully they will make it out to California for wild boar, blaktail deer or elk. Locally there is a guide who has hunted with Excals and owns an Exomax. He is very crossbow friendly. If anyone comes out here PM me and I...

Thanks Danny Miller

I have a 2009 Excalibur Equinox. That thing rocks. I started having the trigger stick in the fired position after the shot. I called Danny Miller and he had me send it to him. Danny Miller told me to get it to him and he'd get it back to me. He sure meant what he said. Turn around time was nothing s...

Is anybody on this forum in California?

I live in Santa Maria, ca. and was wondering if their are other excal shooters in this state? I use my Equinox for wild pigs.

Re: Got some PIGGYS

On my recent wild pig hunt I shot a boar with my Equinox, then re-shot the same boar a week later with a 300 wsm. Then my guide finished him off with a black powder bullet to the back of the head. The toughness of these animals is unreal. I agree with Mike P. there is no gun to big for these guys.

180-200 pounds is a good hog. There were definitely bigger hogs in the 30 plus group that we saw. When a boar gets much bigger than the one I harvested they can be less than good eating. I have been told that when you open them up if the boars give some sort of strong odor they are not worth eating....

Third times a charm

I was fortunate to be able return to Coho Ranch for some wild boar hunting. My last guided hunt out there was November 2007. Coho Ranch is one of the best huting ranches on the central coast of California. The day started out promising with several nice hogs being spotted before shooting hours. On t...

I have shot other crossbows. I had a 2009 Bowtech Strykeforce that shot 385 fps. I would take my Equinox over that x-bow any day. My Equinox is extremely accurate and I have far more confidence taking it into the woods. Speed is not everything.

I shoot an Equinox and have found the Boltcutters to fly really well. Same POI as my 150 grain fieldpoints. They are also tough as nails. I will be using them on my November 21st wild pig hunt here in Santa Barbara county.

As the string stretches should I notice a large POI change?

Equinox to Strykeforce back to Equinox

I'll admit.. I was kinda tempted by the increased speed and more compact design of the Bowtech Strykeforce. The Bowtech Strykeforce in many ways is an engineering marvel. It definitely has some neat features and was fun to shoot. I can only afford to have one crossbow at a time. For a short period o...

I plan to use the x-act broadheads soon for wild pigs. I shoot an equinox and have every confidence that they will get the job done. The only reason I was willing to shoot them was because Excal put the blessing on them.

screws on scope mount

I stripped some of the screws(the hex part) on the excal sope mount. Does anyone know the size so I can get more at the hardware store? I am referring to the screws on the rings.......Thanks

Ray, I am a Pharmacist and see your situation all too often. When I was in Washington State I worked at a small clinic that had a pharmacy. It was called a 340-B pharmacy. If patients used our doctors and our pharmacy they would be able to buy their meds at extremely low prices. For instance most ot...
