Re: Final Prep: Sighting In W/Bolts & Broadheads?
Hey Max, good to see you back. Look around Magnus' website. I know that they have a video on how to sharpen Snuffers, maybe they'll have one on how to sharpen the others. If not, just contact them to ask how.

Re: Black bear hunting tips
Inexpensive bait is what you want, but something that bears like. You've received excellent suggestions. Bears do eat anything, and strong odour is important for attracting them to your hunting site. However, there can be another source. If you or your neighbours have a baby in diapers, save the lu...

Re: Final Prep: Sighting In W/Bolts & Broadheads?
Thanks Keith, I appreciate it. I'll have to invest in a Rinehart target. I have a Block target that I've shot up and is falling apart after only a few months of shooting.

Re: Final Prep: Sighting In W/Bolts & Broadheads?
Let's say I am starting out with 1 dozen new arrows. First step is to number each, I use a sharpie and number cock vanes. All 12 arrows are then shot with field points same weight as broadheads to be used. I do this at 20 yards first, then all 12 again at 30 yards and all 12 again at 40 yards. I se...

Re: Final Prep: Sighting In W/Bolts & Broadheads?
Chad, I shoot every arrow in my quiver through the ranges I plan to hunt with field points. I then do this with a broadhead on one arrow to see if any changes are noticed. I then tweak the scope if necessary to the Broadhead flight. Ok, so if you're shooting 4 arrows in your quiver, after you've si...

Final Prep: Sighting In W/Bolts & Broadheads?
Ok fellas, for some reason I just want to know EXACTLY what you do. So everything's ready and all I have to do is shoot all of my arrows and broadheads to make sure that I don't have any fliers. 1. How do you do it? Do you actually shoot EVERY arrow that you're taking with you in the quiver? 2. Do y...

Re: One more coyote
Great story Frank! Congrats on yet another successful hunt. I got out yesterday morning but the wind was relentless. It was blowing around 35mph with gusts up to 60mph. I must say that on top of the mountain I think that the sustained wind WAS 60mph. Needless to say after the first set I packed it u...

Re: Excellent chair for turkey hunting
FYI: Walmart sells Turkey Thug chairs that are exactly like the Cabela's chairs for $20 regular price. I just bought one and have to say that I was wrong. I didn't like it because it was reclined a little. I didn't realize that you could just scoot your butt back to sit up straight. I'm getting a se...

Re: Guess the Bears LIKE this Guy's Stand
If he'd have fallen out of that stand he would have found out. He was stretching it down there pretty far with what looked like no harness on.
