Re: Just thinking so far!
Big difference between guided and hunting with an outfitter. I have hunted with outfitters where basically they provided the place to stay and a place to hunt you did the rest. I have hunted with outfitters that said giuded but all they did was drive you to the stands they had set up and you were ex...

Re: Just thinking so far!
I looked them up on another bowhunting site and they seem to have pretty good outfitters reviews. They have 41 reviews 39 5/5 and 2 4/5 and out of the 41 27 reported being successful.

Re: Surprized by prices
Ya ever since 9/11 and the Patriots act you can't even buy a scope or or other optic in the US and cross back into Canada with it getting it shipped no can do. I guess a scope you can buy in Canada and in the US will protect the US if we can'get in the US lol Where I live they even do random checks ...

Re: Mixing limbs
If I were you I would ask them at excal. I did as I had 2 spare limbs. I didn't keep the email so I don't want to give incorrect info they didn't really recommend it but did mention as was said about being within so many numbers or the same lot I believe you could try them and see how they worked .

Re: mechanical broad heads
I have no idea why. Every animal I have shot from above has had a good blood trail starting within yards of the shot. I look hard for blood. The moose ran along a dry logging road and after an exhausting search we found one small drop of blood on rock and from that we began to find more until we cou...

Re: mechanical broad heads
I actually shot a moose quartering away took out lung and part of the heart. From the ground and the moose ran 65 yards down a logging road before first visible blood !! I have shot them with nap thunderheads and rages and every horizontal shot has had a long lead time before first blood. Then easy ...

Re: mechanical broad heads
I have had several animals that I shot from ground level or horizontal since I started hunting with a crossbow and most of them have had little to no blood until after 20 to 30 yards . I have never had this with an animal hit from an elivated positiond and usually have blood in a few yards . I shoul...

Re: BC Proposal to BAN Scopes on Crossbows
"however all states allow the disabled to use crossbows throughout their hunting seasons."
This a bit misleading what does throughout their hunting seasons mean. Montana doesn't allow the use of a crossbow during archery season even if you are disabled !
