Re: Just shot new Excal
Bingo. Turned it back down to 311 and shot at 20. Dead on. Backed off to 40 and had to shoot at top edge of target to have 40 yard mark on the target. Hit a few inches higher than the marker so adjusted speed ring till 20 and 40 were both on respective bulls. Speed setting is on 326. Almost dead on ...

Just shot new Excal
She is no longer a virgin. Shoots very good no doubt. I am shooting the firebolt with a 100 gr fieldpoint with factory string. The chart on here show me at 379 gr. at 311FPS. I turned the speed dial to approx 311 and sighted in dead on at 20 yards. Backed up to 30 yards and was shooting an inch or s...

Re: Munch mount?
His user name is "Munch" so just send him a private message. I can't PM until I post a few more times according to my user control panel. I realized I have put the S5 on my bow & that the Munch Mount may not work in this situation? Thanks all, Bud He has a mount that allows the S5 to ...

Re: New Vortex just put togeather - question
Ok, where do you use the locktite, on every bolt ?? I put mine together not using any, and I did not read in the instructions we had to, but I guess it makes good sense. Vixenmaster, I thought Daltons was good for the whole string ?? What do you use on the rest of the string?? I don't use locktite ...

Re: New Vortex just put togeather - question
I would wax my string real good rub it in & use Daltons wax only on the serving. I preferr my hooks facing up so i can see the open slot. As i pull up it pulls along the rail but not lifting hooks up. I don't want my hooks coming over the rail. I went ahead and pulled the string and gave the wh...

New Vortex just put togeather - question
I received my new Vortex today and have assembled it. Got it sitting letting the blue loctite dry before I shoot it any. Does the brand new string need waxing before shooting or is it already waxed? Anything else I need to do before shooting it? Yep, my first Excal. PS- Hooks up or down on cocking r...

Re: Strings + stretch..HELP
What you guys say make a lot of sense to me thank you. So its recommended to have the brace height between the two marks on the deck, but mine right now is out side the recommended area, so I guess I will have to wait for it to stretch before making any final scope adjustments, and then when my str...

Re: Trying to post pics
A tad off topic here but the links to youtube, etc. posted on the forums here do not highlight so I can click and open them. Peoples pictures show up fine but I have yet to see a clickable link posted. Any ideas?

Re: Which Excal?
I went all the way to checkout on the Ibex and it added another fee for insurance and the shipping increased a little from what was estimated. This puts the Ibex at a tad over $22.00 for the Vortex shipped. Does this change anyone's thinking?

Which Excal?
I am currently shooting a Parker Buck Buster and am thinking about selling it and buying an Excal. I have no dealers close and no way to shoot one without driving a long ways to do so. I have been pricing them and have pretty much narrowed my search down to two bows both new. They are a Vortex with ...
