Re: diablos got stuck

Buy a field point only crossbow target bag and you can just pull them out with your fingers. I have one that is quite old, don't really remember how long I've had it. Shot out the cover, bought a new cover and slipped the old inside. Still works great and stops the 380 at 20yrds. 2 fingers and can ...

Re: Anyone with M380, TAC Zone, and chrony?

Thanks Big John for the PM.
MTBighorn, I did have the bow just setting on a rest, and don't think I was really holding it, so recoil may have been a factor. Went back out, and with some tips from Big John, and holding the bow, I almost have it. Will head back out tomorrow for a check.

Anyone with M380, TAC Zone, and chrony?

Was sighting in my M380. Set my zero at 20yrds. Moved back to 40 yrds. Had the speed ring set to 380. Arrows hitting high. Adjusted speed ring to 390, still high. Thought that maybe, because I stepped off my 40yrds, that the distance was off. Pulled out the tape measure, and sure enough, 40yrds. Hmm...

Re: How Much Speed Is Really Needed

Speed -FPS faster the better right ? Its very nice to have, you can play around wid diff weight arrow combo's. See how the arrow Trajectory is fer yer set-up. Its really jus what you want, its always a personal choice. I have had the two fastest Excals the 405 n 380. Now the fastest i own is a 355,...

First day shooting, and now it's happened to me

First day shooting my new M380, and I'm sorry to say, it happened to me. What happened? I fell in love, again. So, No, I'm not sorry!! :D  The first time was my Phoenix, and now my 380. (Please don't tell my wife  ) First shot went off by surprise. A few after, I could feel a...

Brace height on new Matrix 380

My M380 had the string touching the bumpers. It took 10 complete twist to get the string to the brace height mark, which set the string about 1/8" off the bumpers. So, if a new Xbow owner does not take the time to come here, to the forum, or read the owners manual and buy a stringing aid, and t...

Re: Cheek Piece?

Yesterday I received my M380, and although I have not shot it yet, just holding it and aiming, I think I like the cheek piece. I'll have to shot a little to be sure.

Re: Matrix 380 is coming!!

It's here, it's here!!! Just finished putting it together. I love it!! Need to get the stringing aid, as the string is against the bumpers, even left a little groove in them. So, no shooting for now. Hopefully, by this weekend, ill be able to.

Thanks RR

Re: Micro 355 vs Matrix 380

Your worried about hunting out of a blind and having a little narrower bow. I have used my Phoenix in a blind, with no problems. I don't remember what the difference between this and a 380 or the micro, when it comes to width.

Re: crossbow choice or necessity ?

I have, for as long as I can remember, always wanted a crossbow. They were not legal in VA, unless you had a letter from a Dr. So to take advantage of the early season, I started with a vertical. VA then legalized Xbows, and about 2 years after, I had a sore shoulder during bow season, and didn't fe...

nchunterkw wrote:I saw that too Mike. The difference between 350 gr and 400 gr seems right. The speed drops off at 2.77fps/gr. Be interesting to see some more chrony results from the new 355 owners.
That doesn't seem right. 2.77fps per grain? 50 grain weight difference would be 138.5 fps slower.????

Re: Matrix 380 is coming!!

The local hunting store that I bought the brakes from didn't have any of the stringing aids in stock. I didn't ask anyone, but sure didn't see them with the other stuff. There is another store close by work, I'll have to check with them, see if they would have one.

Thanks, RR

Matrix 380 is coming!!

I have been away from the form for a while, but have been reading more as of late, but not posting. I have been wanting an M380 for a few years, but just couldn't pull the trigger, until now. Placed my order a few days ago, got my shipping notification today, and should have it Tuesday, if all goes ...
