Re: O/T Turkey wings wanted
I also have family out toward Munch and I'm out that way often. Just let me know what's easiest. If you're relatively close to him perhaps we could meet up out that way.

Friend's first turkey
It was mine and my wife's 10 year anniversary yesterday, but she still let me go hunting for the morning. :D I really love that woman. Took a friend out who just completed his turkey course a while ago and got him on a bird. The birds were hot where we were on Friday morning and he got a real show f...

And...tagged out
Went out this morning to a property up the road from my in-law's place where I have been told by the landowner that he wants the birds thinned out, as he has been having them show up around the silo on a regular basis by the dozens. I have been requesting permission to deer hunt this area for the pa...

Best morning ever
Yesterday morning was my favourite morning of turkey hunting ever, because my five-year-old daughter was with me. We made the trek to my in-law's place the evening before and my father-in-law and I went out to set up a blind on one of our easily accessible properties. It wasn't the best location, bu...

Re: O/T Turkey wings wanted
Will CP be taking them in at The Bow Shop for you again this year? Sent feathers your way last year. I'd rather see them put to good use again.

Re: Scent Killers *************
The wind is key, always. Have multiple stands set up for different winds on travel routes. On top of that, my clothes are washed in scent free soap, hung outside for a few days and stored in those 'magic bags' that you can suck the air out of with a vacuum and I throw an earth scent wafer in there f...

Re: Where to shoot crossbow in KW area?
Even if you had a back yard, you couldn't shoot your bow in it in Kitchener. Bows fall under the classification of being a 'firearm' in the city laws and discharge of them is prohibited within city boundaries. Ask my neighbours two doors down about the police showing up at their place and the ruckus...

Re: Slate Turkey Call
My GobbleStalker slate and GobbleStalker glass are my 'go to' pot calls, when I'm not calling them in using nothing but my own voice box.
Great, well made, Canadian-built calls.

OT - Hug Your Mother
Haven't posted for a while. Been very busy with family for four months. If you still have your mother, give her a big hug. If you no longer have her, smile remembering her. It's going to take me a while to smile. We lost Mom yesterday, four days shy of her 66th birthday, after she succumbed to that ...

Re: Toronto Sportsman Show
Have fun folks. A few know I've had a lot of family stuff to deal with at this end the past few months, otherwise, I'd probably be there at least a couple days with the Canadian Shooting Sports Association. Drop by the booth and see what the CSSA is doing in Canada, fighting to keep your firearms ow...

Re: Score another one for the ladies!
Was a pleasure, nay, a privilege to assist with your first crossbow harvest. May you have many lasting memories of this hunt and many more successful ones in future.
And I'll come hold a leg and drag a bit for those too.
