Re: Meat grinders
...While not real familiar with failure rates ,after many reviews over the course of my research into grinders ,a Cabala's model burning up I've not seen any mention of. Very Rare I would think! That said we cooked one of the same units Boo had - my Partner ran a 130 grain Nosler Partition through ...

Re: Meat grinders
Well Boo, if you were buying me one ...a LEM #22 would suffice. I've considered one for raw feeding dogs ,but would need another freezer too. Metal gears ,a five year warranty and bone crunching ability on fowl and rabbits. I would if possible in your location take the fried unit into Cabala's and p...

Re: what happened to the reasonable price on Excal crossbows
I was talking with a sales rep at Lebaron outdoors a few days ago, he told me for every 10 excaliburs he sells ,2 other brands get sold. The ratio is basically 10:2 Excalibur: other bows. I'm not sure about the market in the USA, but in southern Ontario people are buying Excalibur bows like hot cak...

Re: Sickness at Home

When working in a paint shop years ago we would find defects on new vehicles in sales lots that were not in spec. with our customers buy levels....on part...

Re: boltcutter broadhead
I lack a spitfire to , test. I have tested a boltcutter unintentionally vs a generously proportioned hardwood tree behind a deer that ummm, jumped or ducked or maybe just stood or laid there. It packs an impressive penetrating wallop! I strive for no funny business shots on deer but am confid...

Re: The Close Shot
I've been hunting on the ground for a decade.... When in a tree with a compound shooting under my foot it meant bend at the waist only,(not dropping arm) and holding as for a 10 yard shot , but that was with my set up. The only way I had confidence was through shooting target arrows from hunting hei...

Your credibility is not questioned or suspect here either Boo. As too the black hearts ... While not my quote or quoted properly probably ; "One man in the arena is worth a hundred , no , a thousand , no , ten thousand harping critics." Thank you and your Mrs. for caring beyond your own se...

Re: A newbie question,,,
Force ten( Dyneema SK78)is a string material considered very high in strength. Multiple materials are available and personal preference's affect what to use and in what amount of strands. Boo would be the one to ask ,of course , about the variety of options in material and dimensions he can provide....

Re: Axiom vs Exomax advice
One possibility to consider is a rangefinder. I added one to the Axiom after a couple misses with the Exomax..no fault of the bow , but the user. Adding a mount to the Max would allow not free handing the rangefinder and being able to swap back and forth. Accuracy can very well trump speed in a kill...

Re: String Give Away 2
Received ordered strings today , thank you Sir! I'll be polite and not enter drawing to allow others a shot..though tempting cause they are great strings. First string of yours tried here is still doing great , but can now be put aside as a broken in spare. The other new one will be a special gift t...
