Re: Matrix 380 brace height
I believe everyone here makes their strings twisted CCWise. That should be the case on the stock strings as well. That is by design to keep the center serving tight.

Re: Nikon Bolt or Hawke XB30
Both are outstanding scopes. The Redfield was just too long for the Matrix, or i would have got one for it. People do use the long scopes on their Matrix bows, but I just thought it looked like truck wheels on a Corvette! The Redfield is one MM larger, and really the optics are just as clear, and br...

Re: Nikon Bolt XR Reviews
Nothin wrong with hillbillies, I know a whole bunch of good ones, and a couple nasty ones too! I started out dead on at twenty yards, and thirty was 1/2" high there, but i readjusted my zero at 60 yards, and that was where I arrived shooting back out to twenty yards from 60 yards! A lot o...

Nikon Bolt XR Reviews
Finally got to get out and do some real shooting at longer distances. I have the scope mounted on my Matrix 355, and here is what I got using their chart as a starting point, and really verifying their accuracy. I'm using GT Laser 2 bolts at 18" with 2" Blazer vanes set at a right helical ...

Re: HELP!?
Larger in diameter is not a good idea. I don't think it will make it's own threads that will hold up. I would get a bolt maybe 3/16" longer, and try that. Make sure it does not bottom out, first install it snug, make sure all is good, then remove it, locktite it, and give it a good snugging thi...

Re: Bolt/Arrow Spine Optimization
I used to stress a lot about this, then started trying this, and that to see where it took my accuracy. I found that this exercise really does not yield a whole lot for me. I use all the same colored vanes, and really put the emphasis on my ability to shoot, and the equipment, my ability to fletch g...

Re: 405 recall?
I have not heard of a recall for other models. From what I have read it is an issue with their heat treating process, or end result of that process that is isolated to "some" of the 405 trigger components. In my opinion, and I don't represent Excalibur in any way, they have determined the ...
