The string on my new Matrix 355 has been stretching for three months now and I have already had to adjust it three times. Is it normal for it to be stretching so much?
What are the differences and advantages to some of the custom strings over the factory Matrix string?

Re: Bolt question
I shoot Easton Full Metal Jacket bolts. They have a carbon core with an aluminum jacket on the outside. The FMJ bolts weigh 13.7 grains per inch of length while most of the carbon bolts weigh about 9.0 grains per inch of length. I prefer the added weight of the FMJ as it allows me to get my overall ...

Re: Quartering Shots
Thanks Galamb, I guess in the back of my mind that's what I was worried about and why I did not take the shots. I don't want to shoot a deer that I cannot recover. I have been second guessing myself but my instincts must have been correct. I was just doing a check to make sure I have not gotten too ...

Quartering Shots
This morning I was reflecting on the 2014 seasons for lessons learned. On two occasions I had a deer at 20 yards but the deer were quartering towards me. I was 18 feet up in a tree. On both occasions I waited for the deer to offer a full broadside but on both occasions the deer moved off without off...

Re: TOP MOUNTED QUIVERS
Thanks for the feedback! It all makes good sense. I have not used any of the quiver mounts in the past as I have always carried my quiver on my backpack but have recently been thinking about adding the quiver to the bow. I am going to strongly consider a top mounted quiver. Any issues with loading a...

TOP MOUNTED QUIVERS
I have recently noticed several photos of top mounted quivers on the forum. These are quivers mounted above the rail and not below. I am curious what the benefit is from an above rail top mount and why it is preferred to a below rail mount? It seems to me that the above rail mount could be a visual ...

Re: Fletching Preferences??
I have been using the Arizona E-Z Fletch Bolt with right helical and 2 inch blazer vanes. Accuracy has been great with 18 inch FMJ bolts.

Re: Disgusted!
I found Dan's post to be relevant and on point! We all know that the public perception of hunters is very important and we want to be seen as stewards of the environment. Dan's concern and comments about the garbage being dumped are very relevant as the public may perceive this as a hunter issue. I ...

Re: MATRIX 355 BRACE HEIGHT QUESTION
So I added a few twists to the string and it did the job. I now have a 3/16 gap between the REDS and the string and my brace height measured from the joint is 3/4 of an inch.
