Re: Favorite excalibur scope
a twilight came on my 335 when i bought it and yes, it's kinda big and kinda heavy on that little bow but i really like the uncluttered reticle, i like the revenge on my 350 but i like my dlx better. same with my son's trophy ridge/hawke. i see that the dlx price had dropped, maybe because of the ne...

Re: CROSSBOWS AND HUNTING DOGS
Goose52 you must be newer than most of us here. The answer is that a few years ago some kit-chen saleman joined the forum and was trying to sell his wares on here. After a while the moderators decided that kit-chen was a 4 letter word, hence like any offensive word it was denoted as spam . [/quote] ...

Re: CROSSBOWS AND HUNTING DOGS
If you ever get a chance to read one of Steve Smiths books you should. He is a great writer of Upland Bird dogs and Wing shooting. One of his best short stories that I love he discusses how he justifies buying a beautiful side by side. He does this because he doesn’t eat big Mac’s or something like...

Re: BD 330?
idt you can go wrong with any of the matrix models. idk what price you are looking at on the 330, but ebay has some very good prices on the 350, 355, and 380. Running about $150-200 less than the 330. here's the link again. interesting reading anyway: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_t...

Re: Tick spray
Thanks for sharing. Does it have a smell for hunting or strictly for fun activities. I have been using the armbands this summer when permethrin is overkill . They work well on mosquitoes but smell of strong citronella. IMO permethrin is never overkill. It works on ticks and it works for 6 weeks or ...

Re: O/T inline - muzzlerloader
i was getting nice groups with 223 grain powerbelts but when i hit a doe in the shoulder the bullet blew up and there was no blood to track. found her by sheer luck the next day. only blood was her last 15 yards. switched to T/C 250 grain sabots. accurate on paper, no game shots yet. using 100 grain...

Re: HOW FAR DO YOU HAVE TO TRAVEL TO PRACTICE SHOOTING YOUR CB?
At the old place before we downsized- out the back door. Now i can go to #1 son's place 1.5 miles away and shoot in his backyard (helpful dog stays in the kennel!) but usually i go to his hunting land about 10 miles away. i should probably head out there today to put our last food plot in. the week ...

Re: O/T New Propeller
Took a few of the wife's friends out on the pontoon recently and of course they wanted to get in close to shore and check out gardens. sucked up a lot of muck and engine performance has dropped some. i'm hoping it's the prop. the prices you mention seem very reasonable.
