My excalibur rope cocking aid is fraying about three inches down from the right handle . I have used it for about 125 shots . Is wear this fast common ? I have not mistreated it .

Yes, you have it!! Parallax can be defeated w/ same cheek weld every shot, but you won't notice much in your Weaver. Also, there's no guarantee what yardages will be 'on' w/ top duplex at 20 yds.
