Re: Vanilla extract as a cover scent ?

Buddy of mine always has a bunch of vanillaroma air fresheners in his pockets.
He's shot his share of deer, so they either work or he's just a good hunter!

Re: Rechargeable Hand Warmers

I still use the Jon-e hand warmers, and carry the disposable 18 hr. body warmers with me just in case. I'm not worried about the smell at all, I smoke cigars and had 2 deer @ around 10 yds., and the one at 20 yds. this year while on the ground: WIND DIRECTION PERIOD! I just want to chime in on somet...

"A bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush"!
Unless you have a self imposed antler minimum, a buck is a buck!
To me, venison sausage from the spike would taste just as good as from the 8 pt., maybe even better!

Re: Heads up about a seller on Ebay

That is a very nice looking bow and I would be happy with it. Why don't they use a picture of that bow instead? That seems to be what most of the posts I have read have been about, the deceptive picture. I think if the bow you have was used for the picture there would be no posts about this, and mos...

WOW! Nice Pa crappie, good eating too.
Guess what, there are now white perch in Beltzville, don't know if you fish there, plus plenty of strippers also.

Re: JUST A STORY, ENJOY!

58 yds. away, and 7' up in a tree, plus no damage to the arrow and the broadhead fully buried? Well, anything's possible!
I did salvage the arrow, but not the broadhead, need to remember to get it during rifle season as a reminder.

JUST A STORY, ENJOY!

Had 2 different buck standing broadside at about 10 yards, but neither had enough horn to be legal. Also saw other deer that were out of range, including a nice buck. Finally had a legal buck broadside on the last day at about 20 yards, and missed it! I decided to take my metal detector out i...

Re: Heads up about a seller on Ebay

I also was ready to pull the trigger on a Pine Mt. M 380 Black, but after reading the posts on here and other forums I decided that it was best not to. Clearly, the item pictured on e-bay is a Excalibur Matrix 380 Blackout, but what the guys are posting pictures of what they received isn't the same ...

Hunt deer with an air rifle?

Not the type of air rifle you are thinking of!
They are available in some pretty big calibers and are fully capable of bringing down deer size game.

Re: O/T: Remington 700 triggers

I know of the problem with Remington 700 triggers that is supposed to be a $0.05 fix. I own a bunch of them, mostly older, and so far have never had that happen. I also own a few 600 and 660 Remington's, those actually had a recall for the same thing, and I had those triggers replaced for free under...

Re: I can't reach the trigger

Maybe this will help, maybe not. I ran into the same thing when I purchased a 380. By using my legs I could get the string past the ADF, but didn't have enough arm strength to get it far enough to engage the trigger claws. Solution: Shorten the cocking aid rope by putting another knot about 1" ...
