Re: Good news for Southern Ontario bow hunters

I used to have access to 4 farms but all have been sold to tree huggers except one. He only lets me hunt because we are friends and he can tell those that ask for permission that he already has a hunter ! I would love to know where they got the figures to say they needed to lower the tag count befor...

Re: Good news for Southern Ontario bow hunters

Thanks for posting this, I hunt 94 and you could get 3 tags and I didn't think that was enough then it went to 1 tag only. I have never seen so many deer and most of the area is off limits because of non-hunters buying up farms. I used to like the extra tag to shoot a doe then save a tag for that ni...

Re: Bugs!

Yup permethrin here to. I watched a deer tick jump on my pants in the swamp in Florida while turkey hunting and then jump right back off. In Michigan I would come in after a hunt and find at least 5 ticks on me but since using it not one in about 7 years ! I buy it in the concentrate and then dilute...

Re: What is wrong with these people?

I can't stomach Shockey gotta be gotta be one of the biggest fakes going. I have a few buddies that hunted with his outfit years ago and they all had nothing good to say. I do watch the hunting public. These guys used to be with midwest whitetail and cabelas spring thunder but I don't think they wer...

Re: Turkey x bow or shotgun ?

The last few seasons I've killed a couple with the crossbow, a couple with the compound and a few more with the shotgun. I'm glad that I can travel and don't have to choose one over the other because I don't think I could !

Re: Quiver on or off when hunting?

I have always used a hip quiver so off. I have one question ? It was stated by a couple that they like to be able to change heads while hunting. I always carry the same heads unless turkey hunting then I carry a bullhead and a couple regular heads in case a coyote gets close enough. I know that I ca...

Re: Ground blind ripoff

I have been buying the cheap doghouse blinds for years. I find they last maybe 3 years although my last one is going on 5. I buy them at walmart at the end of the season usually on for like 50 bucks ! I love them because they are easy to set up and carry and when turkey hunting I usually set up when...

Re: Game Camera Camo

Years ago when I made my own homebrew cams I had a piece of bark that i put clay on a tree in the area and made a form. I then would put liquid nails on the outside of the cam leaving the lens etc open and press the mold into it. Then let dry and paint to mach the tree bark. I would set some cameras...

Re: Crank verses rope cocking

All I know is the shoulder is the poorest designed joint in the body and will in time become damaged just by the way it functions. This from the ortho that worked on both of mine. The back has a much stronger set of muscles and if you draw correctly should be fine. Ever watch A guy do a deadlift and ...
