Exomax Trigger

I was thinking about installing a Trigger Tech Trigger in my Exomax until my brother-in-law watched me shoot. I use his much bigger back yard as my crossbow range. His observations greatly improved my accuracy. It had much more to do with my shooting form than the crossbow. I would hold my head up j...

Exomax Anti-Dry Fire

My hunting buddy and I have decided to install the Excalibur Guardian Anti-Dry Fire Mount on our crossbows. I have an Exomax and he has an Equinox. We both have dry fired our bows a couple of times so it will be a worth while investment. All three of my brothers installed it on their Excaliburs now ...

One To Go

All three of my brothers now are proud owners of Excalibur crossbows. I started the trend with my Exomax. We now have two Grizzly and one Phoenix crossbows added to the family. One brother took a big doe with his Grizzly a week ago.

My nephew is now looking for a Phoenix like his Dad’s.

Re: Stress lines or cracks?

My Exomax developed very similar lines on the limbs after a dry fire. They were not there when I first got it.

Re: Past Excalibur Models

After deer season my Exomax will be sent to Danny Miller for new limbs. The old ones have a splinter or two but no cracks that I can find. What I thought may be cracks look more like hairline lines in the camo dip.

I have no intentions of replacing it so new limbs will make it new for me.

Across the Fence

Been having problems with the deer at my buddy's place not crossing the fence to his property. I saw 7 or 8 does this morning across his fence in the field. They were no more than 30 yards from my Ground Blind. I could see them through the small trees and bushes but unless they cross the fence there...

Great job on those two. Congrats!!

I gun hunt in a similar area. Lot's of water and thick briars. There are some monsters in there though. Always wading water and dragging deer across the creeks. Must have is rubber boots and waders!!

Re: Hunting close to the house/back yard

Like others biggest concern is deer crossing propery line and having to retrieve it from neighbors. Double lung them and they won’t go far. Three of the deer I got recently were double lunged and the furthest any one got was less than 30 yards. Bill You are doing something right then. I have DL sho...

Re: Lesson Learned

A friend of mine had an arrow work loose while tracking big buck. Didn't notice it until he spotted the buck and fired. The arrow barely left the track and fell in 3 pieces in front of the crossbow. My friend's right handed took a beating but except for bruises and a few small cuts he was ok and ver...

Re: Back Yard Buck

I can't shoot any more bucks. We are allowed 2 bucks and 4 does each deer season. So far I have killed 2 spikes, button buck and a doe all with my Exomax. The button buck is classified as an anterless male so he counts as a doe. Two more does and I am limited out. I have been giving the meat to 3 d...
