Re: Micro 355 broadhead suggestions?????

I shoot an Exomax advertised at 350FPS depending on arrow weight, etc. My broadhead experience may be helpful to you as our crossbows are about the same speed. After seeing a review on the Carbon Express Torrid SS broadheads I decided to try some. My intended use is for deer. Seeing how inexpensive ...

Re: How Do You Store Your Xbow?

My Exomax is stored in a closet in a spare bedroom. I have it standing vertically secured with bungee cords with the string off. This keeps it out of the way and out of harms way.

During hunting season I keep it stringed and in a soft case.

Re: Did you use a bait pile to harvest your deer in 2016

In my state of Oklahoma baiting is illegal on Public land but legal on private land. I have established a few mineral licks on Public land because that is legal and I get good deer pics over them. I have hunted over the mineral licks but have never killed a deer over them to date. That said I am sti...

Re: Why did you buy an X-bow?

A crossbow was the quickest and easiest way for me. I had waited until the season was almost upon me before deciding to hunt the archery season. A crossbow took the least amount of time for me to get proficient with. Didn't hurt that a like new Exomax package came up for sale locally for a good pric...

Re: Nock problems

What type of string was on your old exomax? I have a Flemish on mine.. I like it and have killed 4 deer with it so far haven't had a problem till I bought these new bolts for it with the plastic flat nocks hopefully I can get it straightened out. I'll tinker with tomorrow eve after work. I also hav...

Re: Range Finders

Any specific make/model recommendations? I need to pick One up here shortly... Check the Rangefinder reviews on Amazon, You Tube, etc. There is a vast array of Rangefinders out there. Narrow down the field in order to simplify the process. I am also looking to buy a rangefinder soon. From what I ca...

Interesting Concept

In my opinion they may be overkill if using good broadheads.

Re: Compound Crossbows

At one time I did consider a compound crossbow but with money being tight I decided a recurve would be less expensive to maintain. It was suggested to me that spending money on upgrading my Exomax trigger, string and scope made more sense than adding another crossbow to the arsenal. Don't you just h...

Re: Compound Crossbows

In my experience it depends on the string materials used, the cam design, and the amount of shooting done. I wish I could be more helpful but there really are a lot of variables. Paul I think this sums it up. If purchasing a quality crossbow there should be few problems with costly repairs being a ...

Compound Crossbows

How problematic are the cams and cables on compound crossbows? Compound crossbows seem to be very popular and are offered by most crossbow manufactures. The only crossbow I've ever owned is the Excalibur Exomax. I went with a recurve to avoid having to deal with cams and cables. Avoiding extra cost ...

Re: Deer Feeder Question

Been out 16 days with no issues. Was feeding twice a day for 3 seconds at (7:30am and 4:30pm). Was only about 3/4 empty. I refilled it and reset it to feed once a day for 3 seconds since I will be out of town for a couple of months. The squirrels have tried hard to get to it but the trash can lid an...
