Re: Subdivision Deer

I hunt a very similar area. The neibors are all cool.my big fear is that they cross the road into the "mansions". When one of my deer run over there l put on my yellow work vest and take a shovel and a super size wheeled trash can and load my deer in the can and wheel him back across the ...

Subdivision Deer

Last year I was invited out to hunt my buddy's place. He has about 3 acres on the end of a Cul-De-Sac. Over the fence in the back of his property is a big open field. To his left and right are the neighbors. I was very concerned at the time about having a wounded deer die in some ones yard. On Thurs...

Re: Exomax Strikes Again

Congrats, you dropped him fast and the coyotes didnt snack on him .....mission accomplished! The little ones are better eating. Using the Carbon Express Torrid SS does if for me. Longest retrieve was a 5 point last year at about 40 yards or so. Most are 30 yards or under if taking a double lung sho...

Does this make any difference what part of the country your from?
I don't know but I doubt it. I'd put some out and do some experimenting to see what works in your area.

Exomax Strikes Again

Hunting a buddy's place this morning. About 7:30am this spike came by. Arrowed at about 18 yards. Complete pass through. Ran about 20 yards. https://i.imgur.com/PQ74rx8.jpg My buddy has been after me to kill him some deer for sausage and steaks. Was home by 9:30am. So far this season I have two spik...

Re: Mock Scrapes

I went out this afternoon and put out a Tink's dripper on my buddy's place. While there I saw that they are now hitting the corn I put out there. Going to give it a try in the morning.

I hate coyotes!! The Game Warden told me they kill a lot of fawns so I shoot every coyote I see. No mercy!!

Re: Equinox Screw Up

As many of you know I recently shot my Exomax without an arrow in it. Well I was horrified that I did it and that I could of been so stupid and careless. Really beat myself up over it and didn't tell any of my hunting buddies. I would have been teased unmercifully though I can dish it out as well. ...

Flex and twist them. Listen for any noise and look for cracks to open up.

Checking Arrows After the Kill

I have retrieved all 3 arrows I killed deer with the past couple of days and was wondering what to look for when inspecting them. I cleaned them well with soap and water then held them under a lighted magnifying lamp. Didn't see any cracks, etc. and they roll flat on my table. Not really a spin test...
