shooting my bd400 yesterday with a 367gr arrow speed was 384. Flemish string,59 limbs & gen 1 micro riser. I have a factory el zombie green string if I use that it will shoot 390. bows bare no dodads. no way will a bd400 shoot 400fps out of the box you need a cronograph and alot of shooting time...

10-4 on the blemish limbs. if you limbs have marks on the sides were they fit in the limb pockets it could mean
your riser needs to be cleaned up a little.

Excalibur says the strings shorter now because some dealers and customers let the brace height get so bad the string was sunk in to the rubber bumpers. maybe they did not have a string aid. shoot the bow I have shot mine with 3" brace height through the chronograph just to see the speed deferen...
