by wildcatter » Wed May 11, 2016 6:33 am My wife didn't have a choice when we got married with speed on my part, I always been fast,,, as time has gone by i just keep gett'n faster,,,,,, LOL. Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results

Boomer, Mine was tested with a 350 grain, the exact combination of arrow and point Excalibur used. The speed is relative anyway, when you put the M380 through the chronograph it should always be slower than a Bulldog using the same arrows no matter the weight. But other people are reporting that th...

Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results

Everyone seems to be questioning the speed quoted by excal.... but they are all using arrows that are more than 350gr like it was tested with. How about you guys complaining shoot some 350gr setups like excal did to get their 400fps and see how close you are then? None of the "my 380 shoots 412...

Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results

Personally. I'd like to see Excal rate ALL their bows with a 400 grain arrow and be done with it while continuing with 350 grain minimum arrow weight. IMHO, it has been a mistake to chase speed above all else with recurve crossbows. These bows in the 350 fps range, often referred to as the sweet sp...

Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results

I'm wondering if the issues of speed is also due to where the chrony is setup when testing? Bingo!! Just shoot your now and have fun with it. :) I actually don't shoot a bulldog. Mine is a 350le and i don't care if it shoots 250 or 450 lol as long as it hits where i aim then i know itll take down t...

Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results

....what i don't get in marketing is why can't you guys use what an "average person" uses to come up with your data....why does it "ALWAYS" have to be what the average person does not use or do...and don't say you guys DONT KNOW what the average person does under average circums...

Re: Air brakes vs. Db killers

I can't speak for others but i have REDS, air brakes, and the dbkiller limbs on mine and i absolutely love how quiet and sturdy it feels when shooting my 350LE. I also wrapped my stirrup with a few layers of camo tape. The impact of the arrow hitting my rag bag is way more noticeable than the noise ...

Wouldn't the string be the same for any matrix series? They all have the same limbs.

Re: Oh yeah! She's here (and a couple questions)

I bought a weaver mount bubble level that sticks out from under the scope. Easy to transition from looking through the scope to checking level.

Re: correct distance between bumper and string at rest

Speaking as an owner of a 350le, that string will stretch a ton before it settles in. So 3/4" away now will be touching by tomorrow lol but once it settles in, i try to get around 1/4" as well. But i plan on trying closer/farther as well and see what it likes better with 150gr heads on the...

Re: String break in

Boomer 81, Why did you "rinse' your sting ? I've never heard of that method. :? Maybe it's something new and hi-tech? and thats why I've never heard of it as I'm a very low-tech kind of person. Gene Lol its just a saying. i didnt mean literally rinse my string. I meant it as "do i...
