Re: Range finder wanna bee

I have a Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport 450. Not fancy or "top" of the line, but is very consistent, inexpensive, and at archery ranges is all you really need. It's all just personal preference of course, but it is a fine range finder IMO for the money. BTW, it is also very consistent at range...

Re: Any experience with .223 WSSM?

7mm.08 is a fine deer cartridge. I no longer have one....but I have killed many deer with that cartridge. You are right cossaack, it's a .308 necked down to a .284 cal. Much better deer cartridge than the .243 win. and is still light recoil for those that are recoil sensitive.

Re: Any experience with .223 WSSM?

Big fan of the Winchester super short(WSSM) and short magnums(WSM). I've seen deer killed with the .223 WSSM. They were dead as it gets. But a couple of draw backs to this particular cartridge is that (in some areas) ammo can be a little hard to find. Fewer rifles are chambered in it than when it wa...

Re: Sirrup protection

Yeah Cevans, the stuff in the spray can isn't worth a hoot. I've used it before. But the Linex is a whole other animal. It is tough as it gets! If you removed your stirrup and taped in the proper spots and had it sprayed with the Linex, that would have to work awesome. Although black is the "st...
