Re: ready to buy

Between the bows that you listed there wouldn't be any "cons". Deer and hogs would be easily taken with these bows. The Vortex being a 200# pound bow will shoot a little faster and a little flatter than than the Phoenix/Ibex. The Phoenix/Ibex is more than fast enough and would be a little ...

Re: what's the difference between crossbows?

The Axiom is basically just a Phoenix minus the dissipator bars/pads. Also comes as a package only but with a different scope than the Varizone. Mechanically it is a Phoenix that is packaged in such a way that the cost is kept down. Nothing at all is inferior in quality or function. The Ibex and the...

Re: Composite stock Excalibur, Axiom SMF

Gerald said "looks like the rail is made out of a milk crate." Yes it does, I thought the exact same thing!  I'm a little leery/skeptical of the composite rail, but I do think the price will be a good thing for getting more people in the sport with an Excalibur.

Congratulations! I have a question for you though. What is urban deer season exactly. Don't have that here and have never really heard of it except on this forum a couple of times.

Re: My indoor archery Range

Welcome Dwilley! I have had target residue "melted" on arrows in the past from targets using a vertical bow with aluminum arrows many times. Wouldn't worry about it. Also wouldn't worry about carbon splinters in the meat. Have fun!

Shot rabbits and alot of other things I should't have shot with that bow. My next bow was another hand me down Bear Alaskan compound with a wood...
