Joe, Great job getting two with the crossbow.
I was out Monday eve., no birds, but entertained by some doe and family of Red Foxes.

Re: Tick tick tick tick
Yes I use the homemade permetherin mix and have not been bothered by the ticks.
My Grandson hunts with his friend some in the fall archery deer, he has no problem, as his clothes are treated, but his friend is full of ticks, when they come out of the woods, in that area.

Re: Turkey decoy distance
I have used the 20 yds. but seems to put the live birds out to 40 yds., so I have come in to 10 yds., and works for both crossbow or gun.

Re: Hello All, It's Been a Little While
Welcome back Chad. Make memories afield with your son.
I never did take the plunge into the high price electronic callers, but made my own and along with cowhorn howlers and mouth blown calls, and been lucky to take coyotes and fox. Just keep at it and it will fall into place for you.

Re: magnus bull heads
As far as birds being call shy because of being called too either before or during season well thats another argument that don't agree with. Well since your profile does not say where your from, I can't say for your state per say. But I can say for Pa. & NY that pressure before season and durin...

Re: magnus bull heads
The beauty of the magnus is its like black and white. If I connect the bird will be DRT. If I miss then I extend my season for another day. Nothing wrong with a body shot however I don't want to chase a wounded bird for miles in case I miss the sweet spot... :) I'll agree, with "If I connect t...

Re: magnus bull heads
Good shot on a target that the head is not moving. lol My question is why not just use the broad heads you use for deer and take the body shot? I shoot them in the body, and have not had a problem. If it's because you feel you ruin the bird with a body shot, the only good part of a wild turkey is th...

I get two turkey tags with my lifetime licence, one for spring and one for fall. I can buy a extra spring tag, for $20.00.

http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj505/coyclr/CB10292016b_zpsssnj1z4a.jpg Shot this Fall Long Beard first day of our 2016 season. Was total of three long beards, one ran with the thud of the hit, but the other walked around this bird, looking at it as to say, get up, stop the laying down. He wou...

Re: Anyone going to the Harrisburg show this weekend?
whats the fall out ? :?: The fall out was the band on showing AR15 type guns, about 3-4 years ago, to the point the show was cancelled, and the following year the NRA took over the show. It then changed the name from the Eastern Sports & Outdoor Show to The Great American Outdoor Show. The othe...
