Excalibur Brown Bear

Looking for a used, wide limb Excal for Christmas gift for my 11yo goddaughter. Ran across a "brown bear" model. Any details on it? Is it just an Axiom with different looks? If it is the Axiom, thinking this is about the best starting place for an 11yo. Don't recall Excalibur made anything...

Re: Excalibur Beacon Illuminated Nock

I bought two sets of 3/$21 lighted nocks and they doubled my order free. 3 out of 12 didn't work at all. Didn't waste my time risking them in the field and am out $42 :x Sticking with Lumenocks. Or, perhaps changing over to these new Beacons. ....curious as to what brand?.....and YES, STICK to Lumm...

Re: Excalibur Beacon Illuminated Nock

I just looked online and Lmenoks run around $31 for 3 and other brands are as low as $21. I bought two sets of 3/$21 lighted nocks and they doubled my order free. 3 out of 12 didn't work at all. Didn't waste my time risking them in the field and am out $42 :x Sticking with Lumenocks. Or, perhaps ch...

Re: 16.5" Bolt Shooters - how are you getting the weight up?

My 16.5" BEEs tip scales around 442gr with 150gr broadheads. Spynal Tapps (as part of a xbow package buy last year) wear the same 150gr heads and come in around 462gr. Nothing heavier needed for whitetails up to 30 yards.

Re: Looking for Broadhead Target

I've got my own home made. 24 beer can box, HARDcover book against backside, with lotsa densely stuffed jeans/cotton rags in front. Targets are 8.5x11 paper with orange dot placed in front of center of hardcover. Set it up on a stump or anything which will allow it to get knocked over by the inertia...

Progressives rely on apathy. They play the long game, achieving their objectives thru incrementalism.

Re: Brand New Matrix 380

The black rail / gray riser combo is exactly what my Bulldog has and actually looks pretty cool. https://i.postimg.cc/YCWN18Wk/IMG-20230114-161059.jpg Weren't bulldogs exclusively black rail because of the composite rail? But this Cabela's Equalizer looks strange. Mismatched camo pattern between li...

Re: Making it harder to forget your rope cocking aid

Great idea and well executed!

You do realize the clips should engage from above the string, not from below (as seen in 1st photo).

Which "another" crossbow

Read somewhere Excalibur recently redesigned the limbs for one of their models - was it Micro series? If so, which updated Micro should I be looking for with the unicorn limbs which will never break  My stable current consists of two exo limbs, three matrix, and gotta start a new family. SHould...

Kudos to the redneck with money to burn. At least he didn't pawn off that used Ravin to another unsuspecting buyer.

Anyone have this limb replacement issue?

Matrix 380 had a significant limb delamination (actually heard crackle in the blind but wasn’t quite sure what that noise was until later). Excalibur provided exact replacement limbs (within 0.010” thickness where it counts), plus the kit to eliminate the air brakes (which I specifically requested s...
