I get my Alfalfa pellets a Tractor Supply store and they are around $10.00 a 50 lb bag. The deer have been really tearing them up lately. The deer around hear love alfalfa fields.

Re: Which Excal?
I have the Vortex and of course love it, but I can see if you were shooting a lot the Ibex would be easier on your back. I was going to buy the Ibex but I bought my Vortex at a sweet deal that had been used for a couple of months so I couldn't pass up the deal. Good Luck

Re: Made my first crossbow arrow
[quote]Always good to experiment a little. One thing to be watchful of when substituting smaller diameter arrows is that the string is not too far above the center of the nock. If it does get too high above center then you get the possibility of having the string ride over the arrow and causing a pa...

I ended up putting 7 coats on my rifle stock and it turned out prety good for a novice but nothing like build...

Re: Cam at Feeder
Great 8 pointer he will be a brute next year if the Mountain Lion doesn't get him.
Great pics, I pulled my pics today and 5 bucks made it through hunting season and a lot of does. I had one small eight pointer that might be a shooter this fall.
I've got to learn how to post pics.

Re: Feeding Corn
Well I pulled my trail Cam Pics this afternoon from in front of my feeder and the last 3 weeks I have 5 different bucks that made it through hunting season and a lot of mature does that will make fine table fare this fall. The deer around here must get used to eating corn out of feeders because we s...

Re: Made my first crossbow arrow
Thanks on the input, Ont Excal. I can see when you punch a big hole with a broadhead the arrow should slip right threw.
Thanks also Vixenmaster, they look pretty good and shot great. I may even have to shoot a turkey with them in a couple of months.

They are nasty spiders my Mom got bit on her little toe and almost lost her toe the flesh on it just started rotting away but finally when they were going to take it off it started getting better from all the treatment she was receiving.
I will pray for a speedy recovery.

Made my first crossbow arrow
I just purchased 6 Carbon Express Pile Driver 350's compound bow arrows from Archery Talk for a great deal to build a crossbow arrow. These arrows are around 11.3 gpi and I shoot the 250's in my Compound so I new they shot great. Yesterday I cut a couple of them down and took the white nocks out and...

Re: Feeding Corn
Raymond, I use shelled corn in my feeders sometimes 6 to 8 months out of the year and get plenty of pictures and turkeys and bears that just love it. I also started feeding some Alfalfa pellets this year in my feeders to mix with the corn and the deer love these also. The key to the Alfalfa pellets ...
