check your arrows!
i have recently been asking for info. on cleaning and re-fletching carbon shafts, and was impressed with all the feed back that I got. my experience is very limited with carbon shafts. since I got an x-bow I started using them. (Easton power bolts) also started using them with one of my vert. bows. ...

Re: Lubricant on top of rail / arrow groove?
I M O the rail only needs to be kept clean. the more residue on the rail only attracts dirt. just wipe down occasionally, and very little amount of silicone, once in awhile... I have to agree with what mr. norman said about the arrow retainer. it is very noisy! using that 3m tape sounds like an exce...

Re: arrow shaft cleaning and adhesives
really... I always thought acetone was not good for carbon shafts. will have to try it... I do use comet after I get most of the "junk" off that does very well. seems that vanes stick better with surface roughened up a little... thanks

arrow shaft cleaning and adhesives
greetings... ugh! cleaning quick set glue from carbon shafts. 6 done, 8 more to go. used denatured alcohol to see if it would soften old glue, not much help. a lot of elbow grease is the only thing that seams to work. :? is there anything that can be used to help remove old glue, that will NOT cause...

Re: wraps
thanks upsman... I like to keep it simple as possible to.i use wraps on my vert bow arrows... however, main purpose here is to help see the arrow without tracers, yeah wraps do make them look good. accuracy is the most important issue here, but they go so fast, cannot see them without tracers... jus...

to research and development department... :P to wrap or not to wrap?? anyone tinker with wraps? other than wear and tear of the wraps, shot after shot. will it effect accuracy or cause any loss of velocity? would arrow weight and foc be effected that much? main reason to do so, is to "try"...
