Re: ....just got my first pistol permit in Joisey (help!)
I carry a Sig P238 and I have more pistols than an honest man should have. I've carried them all at one time or another. If you can, shoot a P238 and see what you think. Look for Model NBS 12. It is one sweet personal carry, accurate and every easy to cock, which my wife likes. Most small units are ...

Re: Micro quills and replacements
I am a little anal when it comes to FOC. On my 15.5" BE's, I use a 110 brass insert with 20gr add on to offset the added weight of my ignitors. Arrow is a bit heavy but I seldom ever shoot over 30 yards. After having hunted for 50 years with a vertical bow, I am a little anal when it comes to d...

Re: Rage 2" COC broadheads
I too started shooting the 100gr Extreme head. Shot two deer. Couldn't believe the hole they made entering and exiting. Awesome. Like many others, I've heard horror stories about them opening prematurely but I have never experienced such. If that thought bothers you get you some small dental rubber ...

Re: Some hunting humour
Reminds me. A little while back my youngest son (16 at the time) had a problem. Just about the time his pains got closer together, he heard something coming up from behind so he froze. The sound quit rustling and he turned to look over his shoulder. A big doe chose that moment to snort and blow at h...

Congrats Chuck, how in the heck could you hunt in this heat? I presume you still live in East Texas. It was 104 here this afternoon. Cheers Wayne

Re: nocks
Put some black plastics in my BE's. Shot good until one day a nock came out and I didn't notice it since it was so much like the same color of the shaft. Shot the arrow without nock. Cut a Boo string. Scared the crap out of me. Went back to Aluminum. Now I've gone to NuFletch lighted nocks without t...

Re: Lumenock
I'm like Anthony. I have both and like them both. Lumenocks are a little harder to turn off if you don't carry a tool to do it with. They are a little brighter than NuFletch too. However, I have been removing the light stem from the NuFletch nocks putting the end back in and shooting them to practic...

nice....got two suggestions, either M-BO-GO, means black death. That's what some Africans call a Cape Buffalo, the other name would be DarkVader....

Fourwheeler. 71yo here. If I can't drag it onto the back rack, I simply tie a rope around the horns or head, raise it to the back rack, tie it and boogie. Did three that way this year, BTW all Excal harvested too.....eh eh eh

That is not a burning smell, it is an aroma, just like doe in heat, bruised pine needles, and beans being processed in deer champ. All part of the wonderful world of hunting.....eh eh eh Cheers

Re: New gear worth checking out?
Okay Boo, here is something interesting I experimented with. If it is out there with decent reviews I am always willing to try something new. Well, I had been hearing some good reviews on an Ozonics machine, but I am not spending that kind of money on such. My brother bought one and swears by it. So...
