Just a quick question, I've been shooting fixed blades since I started crossbow hunting several years ago. I know I always had to practice with my fixed blades because they don't fly like my field points. What I don't know is if I start shooting mechanical broadheads do I need to practice with them...

I have been using the excalibur wax on my string and X Rail Lube on my phoenix (rail lube every three shots), as that is what the dealer reccomended to me. i bought a vortex this past summer and wanted a black color because all my hunting is done from ground blinds, but there was no color options, so after season is over i am sending mine back to the dealer to have it "dipped" in order to get the color that i desire....jeff
