accuracy

Dear forum members, I wonder which arrow is more accurate at longer distances.... Diablo + 150 gr boltcutter or Firebolt + 150 gr boltcutter Shooting with the M380 Blackout. Personally, I think the longer (20) bolt is more accurate than the shorter (18) bolt (the vanes are also longer), but the spin...

Excalibur on steam / airpressure!

Don't know if this was on the forum before, but this is to(!) nice to miss:

What do you guys think of it?

I think this is a possibility to make even faster and more powerfull recurve crossbows, without using a slow hand krank.

Re: Difference string

Thanks for your information! If I understand this the right way (I'm from Holland, so forgive me if I understand you wrong.) the blue string has a little less stretch and a little less speed, compared with the grey string. Is that right?

Difference string

The Matrix strings were first grey and now they are blue. (Nice color by the way)

Is there a difference between these two?

- Do they shoot faster?
- Is there less stretch in it? (the old strings had a lot of stretch)

Thanks for your information!

Sounds Iike it isn't a factory string. Be aware that large loops are not uncommon in aftermarket strings and like Peter says, they are hard on limb tips. Large loops mean certain damage to limb tips.
I'm sure it was a factory string. Package with Excalibur on it.

Re: Broken limb tip (again!)

Mr. Troubleshooter, Sorry to hear of the issues you're having. Limb tip breaks historically happen when too much energy is exerted to the string which is normally caused by the arrow not being properly seated against the string. It is possible to have a faulty tip but that is much more rare. We als...

I had it a few years at home (unused) as a spare-string. And did put it on the crossbow - while putting the new limbs on.
Is that yes?[/quote]

Yes, a new and unused string.

Just the normal Matrix - string.

In that case I don't understand why they asked me to send back my riser also.

Re: Broken limb tip (again!)

Thank you Big John. I've heard people did get a 'new type' of riser, when having problems. Personally, I didn't get a new riser 4 months ago when having problems. But it is all getting confusing now...: first it was a limb problem (made in to hot temperatures) and now there is a riser problem. I wis...

Re: Broken limb tip (again!)

Thank you! It was not from Bogensportwelt (I know the store), but it came from a store in Holland. (Elst)

Thanks for your advice.

Broken limb tip (again!)

Four months ago I had a broken limbtip on my 380 Blackout: http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=63396 It was not a very big problem, thanks to the great warranty. I received a pair of new limbs from Excalibur. But now I have the same problem again(!) in very short time. Br...
