ALMOST DEER TIME IN TN
Archery season opens Saturday 24sep here in TN. Hitting woods on Sunday with a Matrix 355/8ptbuck Flemish string/Hawke XB 1 SR/20" BEE with slick tricks, I think weighing about 428grs. What are you guys going to be/are using?

Re: Sale @ B. P.
Man I could use another excal I have a Matrix 355 but for a family member..I just aint crazy about the plastic rail? Can I get some feedback from grizzly owners regarding that rail design vs a Matrix rail? And yes I do love excal xbows, not even considering another for a second one. Guess I could us...

Re: 20" arrows ???
Matrix 355 is my first crossbow. I shoot 20" BEE with slick trick broadheads, weight is 428grs(same with field pt). I also will limit my shots to 40yds. It will be first year hunting with the 355 and the 20"BEE so will see how it goes. The BEE are very accurate in my selected range, though...

Re: Hunting weather in North Carolina
I don't know where you are in NC but here in NE Tennessee its been pretty hot as well low to mid 90s all week and only getting down to mid 70s at night. I also think the first of bow season is still going to be pretty warm. and yes tics are every where here...Will really see what its like when squir...

Re: So should the arrow hold lever be on the rail?
Thanks for the info, I have my matrix 355 broke down to install a TT single stage. So I will also pick up some heat shrink today and put that on. I may bend the lever up slightly -- but making sure I still have solid arrow retention. Also going to get a section of the black pipe insulation and stuff...

So should the arrow hold lever be on the rail?
My arrow/bolt hold down lever is right on the rail (maybe more that it should be) definite "tink" sound when I raise it simulate an arrow it place and let it go.
Do I need to bend it up some?

Re: brace hieght and string change
Yes I do have the stringing aid and used it. Now that it is mentioned -- no the string was not twisted when I installed it. Probably why I needed so many twist. Yes I twisted it CCW. Set BH right at the mark on the rail (that's about 1/4" off the bumper). Now string has settled to just barely t...

brace hieght and string change
I just pulled my Matrix 355 out of the case been there about a month the stock string was 1/8"buried in the stock bumpers. Thought oh no big deal good time to put on the EXCAL custom string I ordered. Now I have never put on a new string, but I have the stringing aid and cocking aid. What and a...

Torque spec for rail to stock and sound deadening
I have a new single stage TT to install in my Matrix 355. Is there a torque spec I should use when attaching rail to stock? Also when I have a part would it be of benefit to put any sound deadening material in the rail?

Re: TRIANGLE OF PAIN
All you can do is be as safe as you can, train who you can on safety with a crossbow. Be alert to people you hunt with and their handling of crossbows. Be alert in the woods not only for your prey...but other hunters. Not all verify game or what is beyond what they are shooting at. Crossbow/Gun once...
