The Discovery Channel had a show on Leonanardo Di Vinci,s inventions. One of his plans was a 50' crossbow! A group of English engineers tried to reproduce DiVinci, idea. The crossbow was mounted on a haystyle wagon. The bow's limbs werel modified for more power. The crossbow shot a ball instead of a bolt. The limb broke and the best shot was 55 feet. Incredible work to make this product with reasonable success. Ray.
