They look like a legit business to me.
Can you keep me updated on the situation. and perhaps aftherwards, send some pictures of the bow???
thx.

Hope so hehehe, after a business banking account, tax id/business license and soon the ability to take CC via a knucklebuster, not to mention the 420th crossbow to come out of the shop (as of this morning) i hope im "a legit business" heheheeheh :)

At times we maybe slow and as i have said we have had our issues. But normally they revolve around custom made crossbows usually in the high end area and/or copies of things used on TV. Im not saying we are perfect, but we do get it done :)

No prob - sent him an email, bow went out friday evening. They say it takes 7 to 10 days. It went certified US postal.

I would need 100.00 over what i qouted his at as the steel work on it was a pain.

and?

Post by el salvdor »

Hi,

was just wondering if you have received the bow yet?
Did you fire some bolts with it, and did it fit your expectations?
Hows the functionality versus the looks.

Sure can, wrote an email. The bow is back here - rejected due to customs and having a serious inqiry to the amount of steel in the bow. Caught it was a weapon.

From here i am going to send the package in 2 or 3 seperate packages - ill take the loss on shipping. One of the things i have on my board under shipping is the checking of laws - have run into this in poland as well.

I know many are watching this thread - i have about 3 orders tied up to await the outcome of this, but if any have questions im more then willing to send testimonials and feedbacks to my work and such. At times i have issues in building times with customs etc, at times i have shipping issues - normal business stuff. So, on we go, we'll get it there one way or another. But in the end there is a reason i ask for people to "check the laws in thier area BEFORE ordering" <--- not a chew out or intented as rude - its just nice to know before what im facing rather then after the fact. :)

customs

Post by el salvdor »

Hi david,

you are right about that.
I will check if we can expect some trouble with the French customs.
Is there on the side of the US trouble to be expected?

Really depends, On the US side not usually. I have (in the past) had to send the bows in two seperate packages. Just really depends on the customs and how they check things. This package was tagged due to the amount of steel it has in the bow and that i guess through xray it looks like some sort of exotic gun hehehe.

Repacking the shipment into 2 boxes and will send them a few days apart. going to get the first out monday.

David

The crossbow is in two packages - one wood side and the other the steel side. The bow goes together VERY straight forward - if you have any issues give me a shout at uccrossbows@yahoo.com OR phone me at 940-231-1719 (business line) i will call you back to save you on phone bill.

the first of the two is being picked up today - im told it is 10 to 14 days ship time (had to go cheap shipping to afford it the 2nd time around).

the second will go out friday.

Enjoy :)
