moultrie game spy for christmas

I scored big time and got this for christmas.
I dont know what the IR button does ? Is it used only for aiming? nothing else works on the camera when i use this feature. Does anyone have one that can help me? The instructions dont say much about this feature It's a gamespy 3.1

first thing is i use the aim it shootsa red beam out.. so you can aim your camera..... 2nd just where you positive and negetive cables are there is a batterie there take the plastic cover off so you can keep your date and time every time you take battery out... next is spend the money and get rechargable batteries... they are 11.99 for one at bass pro. the charger is 17.99 i have had mine in for 2 weeks and still have not charged batterie... also what i have notice is do not use a ultra fast card... sd cards are cheap 1 gig 29 bucks at future shop ... good luck ..

Ya the IR is for aiming the camera only.
