I use a regular compound case instead of a double gun case. I break it down everytime I am done shooting it and have never had a problem with it affecting POI. Very easy and only takes a couple of seconds to break down or put back together.

planter . . .I broke my Exomax down last year on a trip from GA to VA. I used the double gun case. I too was concerned about the POI changing.

I got there early enough Wednesday to shoot a little. My cousins had gather around to see my new toy. Well, I was a little nervous about that first shoot, with everyone watching. However, the Max wasn't nervous. The trip and breakdown/put together didn't change the POI at all.

Don't worry, be happy. :D

I break mine down a lot.. It will not change the POI a bit, not even a fraction of an inch.. I tried, and tried.... I still test it everytime though. :D

The reason for this is the fact that the risers have a small but very important lip on each side w/ virtually no play side to side, that over lap onto the rail. Kudos to Excal for the design, it's bullet proof!!
