Lost 2 arrows when practicing

Post by dakotart »

Went out on Tuesday of last week for the first practice session in preparation for this weekend. Having not shot in about 8 months, I wasn't do bad, but not that good either. although I did hit on of the vanes causing some damage

went out on Thursday (of last week) for round 2. Now I'm shooting good. Decent grouping, hitting the nocks of the 1st or 2nd arrow putting them nearly touching. I took a nick out of the same vane of the same arrow as I did on Tuesday.

Then last Friday, we were shooting again. I was shooting the arrow with the nicked vane first and I then put a hole in a different vane on that same arrow.

A few shots later it happened...

...I Robin Hooded it.
* Also pictured is the buck (my first deer) from last year :)

A bad day in the woods is better than a good day anywhere else.

that is some good shooten there. That's why I placed 1/2" dots on my target 2"s apart. Arrows are to expensive. LOL

I never aim at the same spot twice, it's like mdcrossbow said, it's just too expensive. Besides, you would eventually run out of wall space too.

Nice shooting.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.
