lv2, I had her in the van with the AC cranked up with 30 minutes. and in the freezer by 9. Plenty of time but I had to work fast.

Va. opens on the 6th and I'll be hunting off #15 near crossroads with my son. I hope you guys get some rain by then.

Good work on getting her in the fridge. I would be tired too. They are calling for some rain today or tonight but it won't be much. A quarter inch at most. Good luck on Sat. sounds like you will be in a good area. Find the water and they will come.
A bad day in the woods is better than a good day anywhere else.

We have 3 creeks above the 40 acre pond and 2 below. They haven't dried up this year mostly spring feed. We are finding the deer in the low bottom land where it stays a little cooler under the large trees and softer ground. Deer hate to walk on hard ground with their summer soft cushions.

Congratulations on the doe. She should be good eating.
A couple more days until season opens here, but I just can't get too excited about it with the weather we've been having. With the hot weather it's a mad dash to get one out of the field, to the check station, and to the processor's cooler, a mad dash I could do without if I didn't want some fresh venison in the freezer.
At least we got a little rain today. The temps are dropping down at night, but the prediction is for a high of near 80° F on opening day. Oh well, if one gives me a good shot I'll take it! Bought an antlerless tag and a regular tag this morning, so I'm set for a buck or doe. 8)

Congrats! Nice doe.

I just bought a Casio watch that you input your GMT differential, longitude, and lattitude and it calculates upper, lower, west, and east transit times for any date you want it to. I've read alot of good reviews about it so I'll be putting it to the test.
