Eastman XBow?

Post by bbbwb »

I feel this is bad to discuss another brand of xbow on the excalibur forum but I trust that all will excuse me. I mentioned that I had no knowledge about this xbow but knew the place where an abundance of information would be available.
A friend is interested in xbow hunting and came to me with inquiry about this package.

Eastman 300 DX ( compound)
300 fps with 375 gr bolt
80 ft pounds KE with 500 gr bolt
165 pound peak weight
12 " power stroke
10 yr warranty
multi red dot scope --- 20.,30,40 yard
4 bolt quiver
4 - 20 " bolts with 100 gr target points
$ 429.00

Has anyone had or know of experiences regarding this unit?
He likes the excalibur but is concerned about price .
Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

JUNK! A friend of mine bought one, very cheap feeling. Made from some sort of hard plastic/resin? It ended up breaking at the wrist. He returned it and went excalibur. I would skip that step and go with excalibur!

I couldn't think of a nice way to say Eastman is a P.O.S.

Made in china JUNK!!!!!!! for that amount of money buy a PHOENIX PKG? You might have to pay a little more but you won't regret it. Excal will be there for you. Check out the Sportsman guide online store.

The pro shop where Ii hang around used to sell those,I even dreamed about buyng one but with all the comeback, like the axles bushing breaking and having to replace it quite often, the poor quality of the stock, and the 12" power stroke at 165#.Nope,I bought a Exocet200 instead and don't regret it a bit.
