Haven't been grouse hunting for a few years.

It's been a bit tougher to get out since having my son. I'm really looking forward to the time when we can all go out together!

Right now he's walking around the house with his little carved wooden gun saying "BOOM" and "I missed clays like Uncle Mark"

It's so much fun to watch him discover, grown and learn! Sometimes I miss the freedom I used to have, but I wouldn't trade this special time with my little guy for anything. Someday soon he'll be out with my Ithaca in the grouse thickets and I'll be wondering where the time went.

Looks like a good day for grouse.

Take your kids hunting and you won't be hunting for your kids.
Read that somewhere and it makes sense to me.

Nice gun too, I have one that started out like it. I had it cut down to 18.5" and sleeved/tapped for browning invectors. I have a 5" rifled choke tube for it for deer and an undertaker for turkeys. It is nasty dependable. I lent it to my 78 year old friend a couple years back and he likes it so much I never see it unless we are hunting together. He's got three turkey's and a deer with it so far.
